Hobbies
Singing
One of my favorite hobbies is singing. It started in kindergarten when I performed “Shiny” from Moana at my school talent show. In first grade I sang Ed Sheeran’s “Perfect.” By second grade I had joined the school choir and was regularly performing during church services.
I kept performing all the way through elementary and middle school. Fourth grade brought Justin Bieber’s “Intentions.” Fifth grade was “Bad Habits” by Ed Sheeran. After that show I got the chance to record a professional version of the song in a studio that had worked with artists like Katy Perry. Sixth grade was Michael Jackson’s “Rock With You.” Seventh grade was “Hey There Delilah” by Plain White T’s. Eighth grade was John Mayer’s “New Light.”
In the winter of 2024 I started formal voice lessons. Through the program I performed around town, singing “New Light” and “Daughters” by John Mayer a combined three times. The following summer, right before ninth grade, I was honored to sing “Rock With You” again, this time at the wedding of one of my former au pairs in Sweden. That performance remains one of my favorites.
I’ve also been lucky enough to see some of my favorite artists live. I caught Ed Sheeran with a surprise last-minute opener named John Mayer (that night turned me into a huge Mayer fan). I went to a Taylor Swift concert in summer 2024 and fully embraced my Swiftie era. Most recently I finally saw John Mayer in concert and was blown away watching him sing while playing guitar the entire time.
Singing has become a real part of who I am. I still get excited every time I have the chance to perform and keep getting better.
Running
Running has been my go-to way to burn off energy for as long as I can remember. In preschool and middle school I’d just take off and run whenever I needed to move. When I got to high school I joined the run club my freshman year. These days I aim for 3–5 runs a week, nothing formal, no track meets, just consistent miles that clear my head and keep me feeling good.
Together, singing and running balance each other out: one lets me express myself, the other keeps me grounded and ready for the next performance.
You Can’t Always Get What You Want
September 12, 2014
At three years old, I was already living the rock-star dream, belting out “You Can’t Always Get What You Want” like a tiny Mick Jagger in diapers. The only problem? I had zero clue what the song was actually about… and looking back it seems like I have continued to learn the lessons of this song over and over again!
May 11, 2017
My debut? Maybe not so polished but “Shiny” from Moana at the Our Lady of Mount Carmel talent show.
Shiny
The Gambler
November 22, 2017
Dad and Uncle Lewie talked me into hopping on stage at a packed Florida bar while visiting the grandparents. I launched into Kenny Rogers’ “The Gambler,” somehow got the whole crowd singing along, then froze when they started yelling for an encore… because that was the only song I knew. Instant lesson: always keep a few more in the bank.
Doublewide Kings
February 20, 2018
For my 7th birthday I was gifted an all access pass to a Doublewide Kings practice session and full clearance to test every instrument like a tiny rockstar on a mission. Huge thanks to Mr. Jackson for helping spark “My Generation”!
Perfect
October 17, 2018
First time singing Ed Sheeran: “Perfect” at the school talent show. After this performance, I was deep in his catalog and looking for more to add to the setlist.
Bad Habits
November 17, 2021
My first real studio session went down at Hidden City Studios, a pro room that’s worked with the likes of Katy Perry and plenty of other big names, recording my own take on Ed Sheeran’s “Bad Habits”. Watching the track come together was pure magic. Huge shout-out to Elliott Lanam (Owner, HiddenCityStudios.com) for making it happen!
Bad Habits
April 7, 2022
Took “Bad Habits” from the studio straight to the school talent show…full pink outfit, Ed Sheeran music-video vibes and all. Nailed it, got the whole school engaged clapping to the beat!
Rock With You
May 4, 2023
Big Michael Jackson fan, so for my first middle school talent show I went all in on “Rock With You”...singing, dancing, and even attempting the moonwalk after studying his moves.
New Light - OLMCS
January 18, 2024
Sang “New Light” at the school talent show—one of my first real attempts at John Mayer. I’d only casually known his music until he surprise-opened for Ed Sheeran in Foxborough… now he’s my favorite, and I can’t stop singing his songs.
New Light - SOhO Restaurant & Music Club
May 21, 2024
Started lessons with Micaela McCall at Detar Music (detarmusic.com) in Santa Barbara and got the chance to sing “New Light” at one of their SoHo restaurant gigs. It was my first time performing with a full band behind me.
Hey There Delilah
October 17, 2024
“Hey There Delilah” by Plain White T’s grabbed me the second I heard it, so I brought it to the 7th-grade talent show.
Daughters - Validation Ale
December 19, 2024
Sang John Mayer’s “Daughters” for the first time at a Detar Music gig at Validation Ale in Santa Barbara.
Rock With You - Sweden
August 9, 2025
Sang “Rock With You” at my former au pair’s wedding in Sweden. It’s one of my all-time favorite performances. Honored to be asked, loved giving back to someone who’s done so much for me, and learned how fast a good set can turn strangers into friends by the end of the night.
